My husband and I do not live in California so I had flown out to look at a few venues, none of them being the Skybox. I told him I narrowed it down to two. Then right before we both had the opportunity to come out to look at the two I had chosen, we saw the Skybox on the Wedding-Spot and the Knot. My husband said we "HAD" to check it out. I called Amanda and she was the nicest person ever. We booked our appointment and the minute we walked in, my husband said: "This is it".The Skybox is stunning and has some of the best views in San Diego. It is non-traditional and made us feel like we truly had a unique wedding. Before the wedding, we were introduced to our wedding coordinator, Chauncey. Chauncey is one of the sweetest people! She is so experienced and organized. I'm a little OCD and she was able to handle my expectations, meet them, and go above and beyond them. Both her and Amanda were always willing to speak with me on the phone and answer any questions/concerns I had. They were able to point me in the right direction as far as a caterer goes and give recommendations for all our other vendors.At the wedding, all our guests expressed how beautiful the venue was. We were told that it was one of the best weddings and that the view from the venue made it. Our guests were extremely happy because everything ran seamlessly. I never had to worry about anything because Chauncey was there t the whole time. She would come up to me about 5 minutes before we had to do the next event (i.e. father-daughter dance, cake cutting, etc.) and ask if Philip (my husband) and I were ready to move on or if we wanted a few more minutes.Honestly, the care and attention she and her staff that day gave were beyond excellent. Chauncey made sure we ate that day, had a drink in our hands, and were overall happy. The venue is drop-dead gorgeous, but the staff deserves all the praise. I will recommend this place 11 out of 10 times. read less

The management team was easy to work with, extremely quick to respond and communicate with us and was able to handle any question or request we threw their way. Besides the superlative management, the venue was AMAZING. Our family and friends were all blown away by every aspect of the Ultimate Skybox. The space is big and open, luxurious and modern; and the views are simply spectacular. We had the night of our lives and wish we could live it all over again! We had a huge hiccup a few days before our wedding which didn't allow us to use the balcony for our ceremony. It was no ones fault in particular but we still were heartbroken. However after that, Amanda & Stefanie reached out and kept checking in with us. It really felt like they were heartbroken with us. They made us feel confident that everything else would be absolutely perfect and it really was.

Stefanie was our coordinator and she is THE BEES KNEES. The day would have not gone so flawlessly without her. She made wedding planning so easy, I never felt overwhelmed. There was not a moment during the wedding where I saw her not doing/fixing something. I had complete trust in her to get everything done which let me enjoy the day.

We were so lucky to have stumbled upon Creative Affairs & the Skybox, without you all our day would have not been nearly as perfect. And this venue will take your breath away. It was such a pleasure working with all of you and THANK YOU for helping us pull together our vision. Our wedding was perfect. read less

Amanda and the creative affairs team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our special day was unforgettable. 99% of our guests were from out of town and multiple people told us they all gasped when they were brought up to the room. Our coordinator (Stefanie, who I have reviewed in greater detail on the Creative Affairs page) took virtually all the guesswork out of crafting the perfectly simple, modern, elegant wedding we wanted. The views alone are worth booking this venue. But combined with the unique and intimate setting, central location (your out-of-town guests will thank you), stellar vendor partners, and aforementioned expert coordinators, this is a venue I’d enthusiastically recommend again and again. In fact, by the end of our wedding, multiple guests had approached us to say this was one of the most fun and unique weddings they’d attended, and another couple was inspired to have their wedding here, too. To be sure, no venue is one-size-fits-all. But if you are looking to have a smaller wedding (100 guests or so) with an uncomplicated ceremony in a modern, elegant setting, stop reading right now and book this venue.
